PTET-NEPAL - LAWYER REFERENCE LIST
Choosing a good narcotics lawyer in Thailand is NOT easy.
BAD LAWYERS May be OK GOOD

Many prisoners report incompetent representation .. such as:

1) inability to communicate : in either their own language .. or english.
2) poor pre-trial conferences
3) inability to stand up to the prosecutor
4) high prices .. hidden charges
5) pre-paid ... but never show at the trial
6) inability to investigate, prepare and present appropriate defending evidence

I hear many stories .. now it is time to publish our referral and avoidance list.

Each prisoner will be sent a questionnaire including these questions:

1) did you have legal representation at any time in your imprisonment.
   a) initial arrest
   b) first court
   c) second or other courts.

2) If so .. please give
      name :
      date :
      cost :
      judge the lawyer's services ...
      A=Good, B=OK,  C=Terrible, D=Maybe the lawyer is a criminal him/herself

3) Do you have any second-hand stories of lawyers .. good or bad ??
please explain in as much detail as possible.

Your story may help another prisoner to select a competent legal aid.

NOTE : Lawyers are welcome to rebut these stories and evaluations.
We will publish their story ... and any prisoner's responses.
