THAILAND - KING'S PARDON - APPLICATION INFORMATION Each year, on his birthday (December 5, 1927), The King of Thailand (H. M. Bhumibol Adulyadej) has granted a few pardons to deserving inmates. Pardons are occasionally granted on His Son's birthday in July.
Inmates can (and do) send their petitions to the King.
You can also add a recommendatio letter to support an inmate.
Prisoners may follow up on the pardon request by writing an official letter, addressed to: The Director General of Department of Corrections, Nonthaburi 11000, Thailand. Be sure to give the name and nationality of the inmate and the prison where he/she is imprisoned. The Department will make a check and will provide you with the information you need to know.
